Date: Sunday, December 14

Time: 5:00 PM (Menorah lighting at approximately 5:15 PM)

Location: The Marketplace – 9000 Ming Ave, Bakersfield, CA

At a time when bringing light into the world feels more important than ever, the menorah stands as a symbol of hope, freedom, and unity. This family-friendly celebration is free and open to everyone.

Enjoy an evening of:

  • Fresh hot latkes (potato pancakes) and doughnuts
  • Festive music
  • Face painting
  • Free dreidels and hands-on activities for children
  • A short, meaningful program explaining the story and message of Hanukkah

Community leaders and dignitaries will join Rabbi Shmuel Schlanger in kindling the giant public menorah in a festive and uplifting ceremony.
